Nice little coffee/bagel/breakfast place with plenty of character. They were very busy (Sunday morning, no surprise!) but our drinks still came out quickly, and bagels shortly after that. I think if you order more complicated stuff, especially stuff from the grill, you'll end up waiting longer. The bagels were lightly toasted and had plenty of cream cheese. The lox spread was awesome, highly recommend! There's seating inside (a few booths up front, plus some more including smaller tables up in back), as well as a few sidewalk tables outside. Lots of Steelers memorabilia on the walls. That's probably a pro for some folks and a con for others! Neutral for us.
Absolutely delicious! Super cool place to eat at. I love trying local restaurants while I’m visiting a different town. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with potatoes. The service was excellent as well🙂 I highly recommend trying Beans & Bagels if you’re nearby!
It was a great experience. The cappuccino was delicious, very strong coffee (double espresso) and I ordered the cranberry orange muffins. We sat outside, that by the way is better you grab a hard hat available inside the coffee shop, because there was a lot of nuts falling from the tree.
Coffee Shop No. 499 Beans and Bagel Coffee Bar Fredrick, MD April 18, 2025 No cortado on the menu so I ordered a cappuccino. It was not as creamy as I would prefer, but I did enjoy all that fluffy foam on top. I also ordered a tuna salad on a bagel. The bagel was amazing, but the salad was a bit watery. There were many options for bagels to choose from. Enjoying life one cortado/cappuccino at a time. 😉
Beans and Bagels is such a wonderful local restaurant. The food is always fresh. The service is always good - even on busy mornings. And, the atmosphere is welcoming. From fresh bagels (poppy seed bagel with scallion cream cheese is my husband’s favorite) to pancakes which are light and fluffy, there is something for everyone. . And so many different coffees, mochas, lattes, and tea to choose from. Owned by a local family, Rich takes pride in this establishment welcoming new and old customers alike.
Had a bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel. Fantastic. Reminded me of new york bagels. Soft and tasty. The homebrewed ice coffee was great also
Super cute place. It is small so expect to have to take things to go, just in case. The people are friendly and the bagels are super tasty. The coffee is great too with a bunch of choices and options to customize. We will definitely be going back!
Last time I visited was about a week ago. I could not have had a better visit. The owner took my order, chatted it up with me, and brought over my food. This guy was funny and genuinely seemed happy to be there. The food could not have been better- as usual! Got the jalapeño everything bagel with an egg, cheese, bacon and sausage. Had a black iced coffee with it. The main reason I come back is because of the stellar food! Also- don’t sleep on their steak sub!
My favorite bagel ever. Jalapeño everything with bacon egg & cheese. SOO good. Not too spicy, it comes with two fried eggs and crispy bacon and cheese. Delish!!! The home fries are also incredible. The atmosphere of the shop is so cozy and quaint. Been coming here for years and the bagels and coffee are always consistently wonderful!!! You will not regret!
What a wonderful hidden gem in Frederick! Star and I stopped by after our long morning walk, and it couldn't have been a better experience. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, and I loved that they're dog-friendly. We sat outside on the patio, and they even brought our food right to the table. I ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese on white bread with a hot cup of coffee, and everything was absolutely delicious—fresh, hot, and made just right. It's the perfect little spot to relax, enjoy a great breakfast, and spend time with your four-legged best friend. If you're looking for friendly service, great food, and a cozy atmosphere, I highly recommend stopping by.
